The problem
Claims were tracked across shared spreadsheets and email threads. Nobody could answer who changed a claim, when, or why, and month-end reconciliation took days of manual work.
The solution
A single system of record with an explicit claim lifecycle, role-based permissions, server-side validation and an immutable event log behind every transition.
Challenges
Migrating years of inconsistent spreadsheet data without losing history meant writing a reconciliation importer that flagged ambiguous records for human review rather than guessing.
Outcome
Month-end reconciliation dropped from days to hours, and every claim now carries a complete, queryable history.
